The Partnership has focused on breast and cervical cancer, plus healthy lifestyle. We have:
- Facilitated breast and cervical cancer screening
- Recruited, trained, and supported providers
to participate in breast and cervical health service delivery networks.
- Developed and implemented mechanisms to
assist providers in start-up, and provided ongoing technical
assistance in developing patient tracking and follow-up
systems.
- Provided and/or coordinated the
provision of professional education on breast and cervical
cancer screening and related subjects.
- Assisted patients and providers to find
appropriate treatment services.
- Addressed gaps in the delivery of breast
and cervical services.
- Coordinated linkages with
community-based organizations, business and civic leaders,
elected officials, health care providers, and others.
- Facilitated relationships between
health care providers and other entities, which can assist
women in obtaining services such as transportation,
childcare, language translation, and other social support
services.
- Conducted local targeted outreach and
education to low-income, high-risk women in breast and
cervical health and healthy lifestyle.
